SEVESO Directive.

SEVESO is a term referring to the “Seveso Directive,” a European legislation related to the prevention and control of major accidents involving hazardous substances. This directive is named after the Italian town of Seveso, where a serious chemical accident occurred in 1976. The legislation establishes requirements and measures to prevent and limit the consequences of similar accidents

We would like to inform you that, as communicated at the beginning of the previous year (https://www.sptlogistic.com/2022/01/11/spt-se-une-a-la-normativa-seveso/) the business activity of SPT Spain Portugal Transportes Logistic LDA, located in Santo Tirso, is subject to the Legislation for the Prevention of Major Accidents, Seveso Directive (article 30 of DL nº 150/2015) published on August 5, 2015.

In this context, SPT Portugal provides information related to its operational establishment covered by the Regime for the Prevention of Major Accidents Involving Hazardous Substances and the Limitation of their Effects on Human Health and the Environment.

SPT Portugal, within the framework of corporate and social responsibility described in its ISO 9001/2015 Quality System and SGSPAG (System for Management and Security in the Prevention of Major Accidents), ensures compliance with operational procedures.

In this regard, SPT Portugal strengthens its actions and responsibilities by publishing relevant information through its website, aiming to raise awareness among civil and corporate society, official authorities, suppliers, customers, and partners about relevant self-protection measures.
